The Mitutoyo standard micrometer head comes in a smaller size to fit tighter spaces while providing accurate placement and measurements. The spindle is constructed of hardened tool steel, and the measuring face is precision lapped for better accuracy.

- Mounting stem diameter is 9.5mm / .375”
- Spindle diameter is 5mm / .197”
- Mic head total lengths (at stroke end) are 71.5mm / 2.81” and 80.1mm / 3.15”
- Reverse reading is available on some models
- Spindle faces have lapped surfaces and are constructed of ultra-hard SKS3 steel and are available in spherical or flat types
- Thimble is hard-chrome plated with laser-etched scales for easy-to-read measurements
- Spindle screw threads are precision machined for incredibly precise movements
